Frequently asked questions

What size should a signature be for SSC or IBPS forms?

Most SSC and IBPS applications require the signature as a JPEG between about 10 KB and 20 KB, often around 140×60 pixels. This tool is preset to the 10–20 KB range so your output fits those limits.

Are my signatures uploaded to a server?

No. Everything runs entirely in your browser. Your signature image never leaves your device.

What dimensions should I use?

A common requirement is roughly 140×60 pixels (about a 4:1 width-to-height ratio). Set the width and height in the tool, and keep aspect-ratio lock on to avoid stretching. Some forms accept other sizes — check your form's instructions.

Why is the output a JPEG?

Signature uploads almost always require JPEG, and its quality control lets the tool land the file inside the 10–20 KB range precisely. The output is exported as JPEG automatically.

Can I crop out extra white space around my signature?

Yes. Switch to Crop mode and drag the box around your signature to remove surrounding blank space before resizing to the target size.

Can I adjust the size range if my form needs something else?

Yes. The minimum and maximum KB fields are editable, so you can target a different range such as 20–50 KB if a particular form requires it.
