Image Resizer
Resize JPEG, PNG, and WebP images to exact dimensions or by percentage. Everything happens locally in your browser, so your images are never uploaded.
How it works
- 1
Select an image
Choose a JPEG, PNG, or WebP file, or drag and drop it onto the tool.
- 2
Set your size
Enter exact width and height, or scale by percentage. Lock the aspect ratio to keep proportions.
- 3
Download
Pick an output format, resize, and download the result — all without uploading.

Frequently asked questions
- Are my images uploaded to a server?
- No. The image resizer runs entirely in your browser using local web APIs. Your images, previews, and metadata never leave your device.
- Which image formats are supported?
- You can resize JPEG, PNG, and WebP images, and export to any of those three formats.
- Can I resize by percentage instead of exact pixels?
- Yes. Switch to percentage mode to scale the image up or down relative to its original size. Dimensions update automatically.
- Can I resize to an exact size in KB, like 20–50 KB?
- Yes. Pick your dimensions, percentage, or crop first, then set Compression to Target file size and enter a minimum and maximum in KB. The tool exports JPEG and automatically searches the best quality to land the file inside your range — useful for exam, visa, and form-upload requirements.
- Can I crop a photo and still hit a target file size?
- Yes. Choose Crop and drag the box to the region you want, then set Compression to Target file size with your KB range. The crop is applied first and the result is compressed to fit — all in one step, no re-uploading.
- Can I set the DPI of the resized image?
- Yes. With Compression set to Target file size you can stamp a print resolution (DPI) such as 300 into the file's metadata. This changes only the metadata, not the pixels, so the image looks identical but reports the requested DPI to print software.
- Does resizing keep the aspect ratio?
- By default aspect-ratio lock is on, so changing width or height updates the other automatically. You can unlock it to set width and height independently.
- Will EXIF metadata be preserved?
- No. The output is re-encoded from raw pixels, which removes most metadata (including EXIF data such as GPS location). Image orientation is applied to the pixels so your image stays upright.
- Can I enlarge a small image?
- You can, but upscaling cannot add real detail. Enlarged images may look soft, and the tool warns you when the output is larger than the original.
About this image resizer
This resizer scales images right inside your browser with high-quality smoothing for sharp, clean results. Processing happens in the background so the page stays fast and responsive, and your files never leave your device.
For photographs, WebP and JPEG usually produce the smallest files. Use PNG when you need lossless output or transparency. When converting a transparent image to JPEG, transparent areas are filled with a white background.
