ImageTools

Privacy

ImageTools is built so that your images never leave your device. This page explains exactly what that means.

Local processing

When you select an image, it is read and processed entirely inside your browser, right on your own device. The image, previews, pixel data, and any metadata stay in your device's memory. We do not upload, transmit, or store your images.

What we do not do

  • We do not upload your images to a server.
  • We do not send previews or generated output anywhere.
  • We do not read or transmit your image EXIF metadata.
  • We do not run analytics, session replay, or third-party trackers on your image data.
  • There is no image upload endpoint and no image database.

Metadata behavior

Resized images are re-encoded from raw pixels in your browser. As a result, most metadata (including EXIF data such as camera model and GPS location) is removed from the output. Image orientation is applied to the pixels during decoding so your image appears the right way up.

Hosting

Like any website, our host may process standard technical request data (such as your IP address) to serve pages. This is separate from your image content, which is never sent to us.
